I am the Mom, the one who was working the 60+ hour Real Estate job that sucked the life out of me. I was turning into a person I didn't want to be and so was my family. Material items were starting to become more important to everyone than spending time together. Everyone in the family was attached to some sort of "screen" watching and focusing on other peoples lives. That's when I decided it was time for us to "unplug" and go experience the world, different cultures and countries while stepping outside of our upper middle class comfort zone.
